The Shorefront | Stratford, PE
In September of 2019, ThermalWise conducted field quality assurance water penetration testing for an installed window at The Shorefront, located in Stratford, PEI.
The water tightness performance requirement for the test specimen is 470 Pa in accordance with the direction from Troy Livingstone of Sable Arch. The purpose of the testing was to verify that the field performance was meeting project performance expectations.
YMCA Halifax | Halifax, NS
ThermalWise conducted field quality assurance water penetration of installed curtain wall and window-wall specimens at the Halifax YMCA, in Halifax, NS. The water tightness performance specifications are 575 Pa for curtain wall test specimen and 500 Pa for the window-wall test specimen, in accordance with the project specifications. The purpose of the testing was to verify test specimens’ installed field performance against project performance expectations.
The Shuffle | Dartmouth, NS
ThermalWise was contracted by Efficiency Nova Scotia to conduct air leakage testing at 65 King Street in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The purpose of the testing was to quantify air leakage of the existing building envelope to better determine pre-retrofit energy use associated with air leakage. ThermalWise completed semi-guarded air testing on a typical unit in the residential tower to determine the air leakage through the most typical exterior wall type.
Quinpool Tower | Halifax, NS
In May 2022, ThermalWise, at the request of Killam Apartment REIT, performed compartmentalization air leakage testing on a sampling of dwelling units in the Quinpool Tower building located in Halifax, NS.
Richmond Yards | Halifax, NS
ThermalWise was contracted by Contract Glaziers Inc., to conduct water penetration testing of the CW-05 curtain wall specimen installed at the Richmond Yards building located at 6070 Almon Street, Halifax Nova Scotia. Testing, conducted in general accordance with ASTM E-1105, was performed in April 2022, on a CW-05 curtain wall test specimen.
83 Botsford | Moncton, NB
Botsford in a mixed-use project is located in downtown Moncton, NB. The project is pursuing LEED certification and will be Moncton's first residential LEED project. It will also be Atlantic Canada's first mixed-use LEED-certified building.
Q Lofts | Halifax, NS
Q Lofts is Atlantic Canada's most energy efficient and greenest multi-unit development. A 72-unit condo development of Polycorp, Q Lofts is located in Halifax, NS. The building is constructed with R-30 insulated concrete form walls and triple-glazed windows. ThermalWise was retained by Polycorp to deliver LEED Provider services and a number of building performance testing and verification services.
