NSCC Ivany Campus | Dartmouth, NS

ThermalWise was contracted by NSCC to diagnostic water infiltration testing of installed storefront glazing products located in the NSCC Ivany Testing Centre. Testing, conducted in accordance with AAMA 501.2, was carried out on the test specimen located on the building’s south elevation.  

AAMA 501.2 testing is intended to provide quality assurance and diagnostic field water penetration checks for installed storefronts, curtain walls and sloped glazing systems. The field check procedure is intended to evaluate joints, gaskets and sealant details in the glazing which are designed to be permanently closed and watertight.

ThermalWise was contracted by NSCC to complete a thermal imaging investigation of the newly constructed NSCC Sydney Waterfront Campus in Sydney, Nova Scotia. The campus is comprised of four interconnected buildings (Blocks A, B, C & D). ThermalWise conducted scans of the buildings while pressurizing and depressurising the buildings, to investigate for areas of potential air leakage and thermal bridging in the building envelope.
